COVID Relief Grants for Rural Hospitals:

The State of Alabama will offer grants to Rural Hospitals that meet eligibility requirements. Total approved disbursements will be awarded to eligible applicants. The Alabama Rural Hospital Grants are to support rural hospitals that have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The application process for this grant program is being administered by the Alabama Department of Finance.

The application period for the Alabama Rural Hospital Grant Program will be open from noon March 14, 2022 through noon April 8, 2022.

The State of Alabama will offer grants to Assisted Living Facilities that meet eligibility requirements. Total approved disbursements will be awarded to eligible applicants. The Alabama Assisted Living Facility Grants are to assist facilities with unreimbursed expenses incurred in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The application process for this grant program is being administered by the Alabama Department of Finance.

The application period for the Alabama Assisted Living Facility Grant Program will be open from noon August 15, 2022 through noon August 26, 2022.

Covid Relief and Recovery Funding for Healthcare in Alabama:

The State of Alabama will utilize up to $36,796,346 of American Rescue Plan Act State Fiscal Recovery Funds as appropriated by Act 2022-1 to support the delivery of support the delivery of health care and related services to citizens of Alabama. The allocations will support the delivery of for mental health programing for veterans, reimbursement of covid-expenses the state veterans homes, telehealth and supportive client programs for the Department of Rehabilitation Services, and funding for direct patient healthcare and support for breast cancer patients and prevention as well as the free medical clinics throughout the state.

The State of Alabama will utilize up to $364,175,000 of American Rescue Plan Act State Fiscal Recovery Funds as appropriated by Act 2023-1 to support the delivery of support the delivery of health care and related services to citizens of Alabama. The allocations will support the delivery of for mental health programing for veterans, reimbursement of covid-expenses the state veterans homes, reimbursement of covid-expenses for the state mental health hospitals and facilities, reimbursement of covid-expenses for hospitals and nursing homes throughout the state, a clinical trial access database project, and reimbursement of covid-expenses for government insurance programs.

Covid Relief and Recovery Funding for Telemedicine in Alabama:

The State of Alabama will utilize up to $5,000,000 of American Rescue Plan Act State Fiscal Recovery Funds to provide funds to hospitals in the form of grants to assist with creating and expanding telehealth services to increase access to quality care for rural communities. Grants may be used for creating telehealth capabilities, support existing telehealth services, program fees, information technology, and information technology support.

The State of Alabama will offer grants to Community Health Clinics that meet eligibility requirements. Total approved disbursements will be awarded to eligible applicants. The Alabama Community Health Clinic Grants are to support licensed Community Health Clinics with telemedicine expenses incurred in their response to Covid -19. The application process for this grant program is being administered by the Alabama Department of Finance.

The application period for the Alabama Community Health Clinic Grant Program will be open from noon Friday, March 15, 2024 through noon, Friday, March 29, 2024.
